Design a stackable box
Sharp open-top box with a raised collar on the rim. Identical boxes stack with the upper body sitting inside the lower collar — both flat bottoms preserved.

Stacking rim
Outer walls stay perfectly vertical all the way up, so identical boxes sit edge-to-edge with no wasted space. Stacking uses a rabbet joint — the upper box's recessed bottom edge drops into the lower box's widened top opening with the requested clearance on each side, and rests on an internal shelf one rim-height below the top edge.
